Spring is in the air?!

So it's a little late to comment on Groundhog's day given that we are already half way done February but this ridiculously mild weather god me thinking that maybe Wiraton Willie was hung over when he made his prediction! This is good news because shoe trends (much like clothing at American Apparel) do not respect Canadian seasons. Sure in California we can wear open toe booties in February but that doesn't fly here... right? Well this week it's been warm as hell! So I decided to point out some of the key trends for this spring:

Still good from last season.... Zippers, hot gladiator/dominatrix style heels, anything patent leather, over the knee boots and the hidden platform.

New additions this Spring include:

Nude & Blush shades: From peep toe to pumps if there is one staple item this season it's the nude/blush shoe.

Wooden & Cork Heel: I mentioned platforms are still everywhere and this season if they aren't hidden platforms they are wood or cork.

Obnoxious Colours: Radioactive Greens, School-bus Yellows and Hot Pinks... the perfect little party shoe this year is in an obnoxiously bright colour!

Clogs... I am not gonna lie, I hate clogs! Every major fashion magazine is praising their return I am am no so secretly cringing on the inside. I feel it is my duty however to let you know they are trendy this season... may the fashion gods have mercy on my sole! (typo-pun on purpose thank you very much)
