Shoes for a good cause help Haitians get back on their feet

If you'd like to help out but feel like your contribution may not be very much, consider buying shoes for the people of Haiti!

Soles for Souls: Project Haiti is hoping to send 50,000 pairs of shoes in 50 days to Haitians who desperately need this basic necessity.

Donation packages are available from as little as $5 and with that contribution you will have purchased two pairs of shoes for someone in Haiti.

As most of you know I am half Haitian and my father's entire family lives in Jacmel which is a little town near Port-au-Prince that was hit really hard by the earthquake this month.

Most of my family is ok but the damages to their house has been the hardest part.

I have a pregnant cousin who now spends her nights sleeping outside in the grass for fear of more after shocks! This entire country relies on its diasporas to provide financial assistance... this tragedy has proved to be too much for most families to deal with and YOUR help is greatly appreciated by all.

In addition there are many fantastic organizations who are raising funds and awareness including the Canadian Red Cross as well as Wyclef Jean's Yele charity organization and Oxfam International.

Here is one of my favourite Haitian songs... enjoy

I love me a good spat!

So winter is back... which sucks because I had just started wearing pumps and shoes again and
now my little legs get stupid cold
in the wind :-(

Solution?! Spats!

Spats have been around since the Victorian ages and were used by French military in the 1800's (so they have more street cred than 80's leg warmers!)

I found amazing spats both long and short....

Super sexy leather Chanel spats... (price not listed, yikes!)
but if you are really looking for something unique you can always make your own or have them custom made like these super cute Etsy spats from Efiafair

Whatever you do look for unique details such as buttons and prominent seams.

Ladies and gentlemen I have a problem!

So I have a serious shopping problem! For years my husband (Steve) has been telling me about this but it wasn't until we moved this summer and I saw how many garbage bags of stuff I owned.

My biggest issue is by far is shoes!

I have about 100 pairs not including flip flops or running shoes...

The following is my love, my life... my obsession!
